Default Grill trim color

Does anybody out there know the color code for what the parts diagram for an 2001 XK8 refers to as the "cover" for the "finish panel" on the grill? I'm referring to those little protrusions designed to absorb a 20 mph crash. (Yeah, sure.) See pix. My paint code is MDZ but I think the color on this grill piece is the same on all 2001 XKs -- sort of a dark gray shade. Mine are scratched. I want to repaint them but keep the color original.

There isn't a trim code for these, at least that is what i was told when I had mine repainted. The body shop just matched up their book with the closest dark grey metallic shade they had, and they look great. I wish now, in retrospect, I would have just painted them silver to match my body. I think it would look pretty nice. Have you considered this?

Hi Guys ,
The "Rabbits Teeth" were painted in Jaguar "Dorchester Grey" which is readily available in an aerosol from most paint shop supplies ....................... strangely its exactly the same colour/shade as Rover "Dorchester Grey" .............. must be a link to the one time ownership of Jaguar and Rover by British Leyland ,

Hope this is helpful ,

N1XKO

PS all the grey trim is "Dorchester Grey"
