Default Hail from Hell

I'm looking for a little advice here on the hail storm my XK8 was stuck in. I normally don't even drive this car in the rain. We have never had hail this size (golf ball). I've counted 28 hits..the only sheetmetal on the car without a mark are the doors. I finally see the adjuster tomorrow and am wondering what to expect...paintless dent repair, or fill in and repaint. The hood alone has 15 dents and it being black they really showup. Has anyone out there gone through this type of experience? Any advice would be welcome.

Itspec60 - sorry to hear that.

I would recommend a paintless dent repair, at least bring it there and get their estimate. I used to have an outie (reverse of a ding) at the top of the trunk about the size of a penny. He charged me $60 to fix that and now I can't tell that there's ever an outie there.

He also worked on my daily driver Accord - which had a big diagonal dent on the driver-side rear door, about 10 inches long, courtesy of garage door pillars. He charged me $250 to fix that - and it's literally like new now.

I know some other members have experience with pdr as well.

Good luck!

I have had two cars repaired by paintless dent removal people after lots of hail damage (not the Jaguar).

It is an art. If the "artist" knows what he is doing you will not be able to point to where the dent was. Amazing.

Look at examples of their work before you commit.

I have had good luck with it. I recommend it.

Two months after buying our '02 Town & Country it was caught in a vary large hail storm and had many, many dings. The options were repair and repaint or paintless dent removal. We took the paintless dent removal and the results were great, and still are to this day. It is the only repair I would recommend if the vehicles paint does not need to be repaired.

Update...the estimate was $2300 PDR. 35+ quarter size dents. It goes in the shop for 3 days in a few weeks. I'll give you my impressions when I get it back. Thanks for the replys.
