Default Happy New Years!!

Well, another year comes to a close! I'm making a couple New Years resolutions that in 2014, I'm finding that darn coolant leak!! And I'm NOT trading my cars unless I HAVE to and not because I see something better! (That one may prove to be the hardest!!)
Oh, and one last one, I'm NOT putting the leaper back on my XK8!! ( took it off yesterday because I want hood vents and leaper + hood vents = too much)

Philhef,
if you don't trust yourself not to put the leaper back on your car, send it to me and I will set it free in the woods behind my house Good luck with the leak, I've been working on mine for a week and still not resolved and my hands are beat to crap.

Happy New Year to all, and may Sir William Lyons smile on all your projects.

Happy New Year to everyone. May our cars give us a trouble free 2014... Oh wait, this is the Jag forum. May all your repairs be very inexpensive!!

Currently the thermostat is stuck open, the valve cover gasket is leaking, some bushings needs replacing, and I have a power steering leak...

Phil, I am wirh you. Tempting as it seems to trade the "car in the garage" (if i mention the name it will create another issue immediately) I have also decided to stick it out. I will have to do more and more myself, but, with the help of this forum It can be done. It is still one of the most beautiful cars ever made!!

Default Happy New Year ....Resolutions

My first resolution is to, of course, get my '03 XK8 running properly which should happen in the next couple of weeks.....the next is to get the air bag code from the drivers seat repaired and the head rest cables fixed on both before the good weather arrives.........

Peace and Happy New Year!!!!!!!

There is......1 minute after the warranty expires.
Speaking of dates, could you add your model year to your posts; I've forgotten what it is.
Not to but my car runs as well as any 14 (15 now) year old car I've had. Entropy is a tough enemy of all things man-made.

Happy New Year to all....

I shouldn't type this, but both of our Jaguars are performing flawlessly right now. My S-Type is approaching 81,000 miles while my wife's XK8 is closing in on 76,000 miles. They both behave much better when they are driven regularly. I would dread having to put either one of them into hibernation for the winter months as many of our Canadian members seem to do....

Sure hope I didn't just jinx both cars....

You're right, Jags love to be driven. Ignore them at your peril!

Sherwood green sounds gorgeous. Maybe you can add a pic in your signature for us all to admire?

Best of a new year to you, too. May you enjoy many miles with your beauty!

A warm shop helps with this annual ritual......Good time for cleaning, maint. and mods. Besides it was -35 to -40 all week so not exactly top down weather.
