Haynes manual for XKR/XK8 anyone?
Hi, I occasionally see an XK Haynes manual come up on flea bay in the UK and it always goes for £50+ as it's long out of print. Just wondering if anyone has this as a PDF they might like sharing ?.
Thanks, Alan

Do you mean this one?
Title: You & Your Jaguar XK8 - Buying, enjoying, maintaining, modifying
Author : Nigel Thorley
ISBN : 1 84425 224 8
Published : 2006

Used copies are now fetching £95 and new ones are available on Amazon at a staggering £219.48
The book is not a typical Haynes Manual in the style of the earlier XJ40 one from the same publisher. Most of it covers development with only a fraction of the book devoted to maintenance and repairs.
It was reasonable at £17.99 when I bought my copy but I wouldn't stretch beyond £25 for one now.

I'll remember that next time I'm at the Dealer.
A new Jaguar? No thank you but I'll have a stack of brochures please.

Good Lord!! I just remembered I have a copy in brand-new condition. At this rate it will be worth more than my car soon. I'm rushing on down to the bank and put it into my safe deposit box.

Jon,
The three PDF Workshop Manuals you've linked are very useful:
1. First Edition - 1997
2. Second Edition - 1999
3. Third Edition - 2003
Both for those members who for one reason or another cannot install JTIS and as an additional information resource for those who can.

please put them up as a sticky, or I can upload them to the forum ... or happy to leave in my dropbox. I'm starting my own xk8 resto-shop, and gathering all the info I can into my dropbox.
Glad these can help, I learn SO MUCH on this forum!

Thanks very much. I have tried many times, but just cannot download the JTIS, so the info you offered so kindly is exactly what I have been searching for. For some reason, there just does not seem to be too much technical info on the 2005 floating around that a person can download. You have bridged that gap for me.
Thanks again!

The 'First edition' is a scan of the original paper Workshop Manual in the same style and layout as for earlier models (XJ40 / X300).
The 'Second Edition' is created as a PDF with the ability to navigate from the index. It is for the 4.0 litre models.
The 'Third edition' is also a fully navigable PDF but it is for the 4.2 litre models.
If you only want to download one, then 'Second Edition' if you have a 4.0 litre or 'Third edition' if you have a 4.2 litre.
