headlamp bulbs
I'm being terribly lazy I know. Just about to set off on a trip to the South of France and I'm putting together the obligatory bulb set. My 1998 has projectors as dip and standard bulbs as main. I presume them to be an H7 or H3 in the projectors and an H1 as main. Would this be right? I can't be bothered to take the air filter box out, it's damned hot out there. No sign of those awful HID thingies, thank God.
Okay, I've braved the heat, didn't need to take the air box out, just the underwing panels. It's H7's and H1's as I thought. I knew it wouldn't be HIDs as I can see at night by them. I tried a quick straw poll of friends and family, seems most people over the age of 40 cannot see in a light spectrum of over 3000k which renders most HID's bloody dangerous. Just anecdotal mind, I've no evidence to back it up but my personal experience having spent over £500 on a range of HID's for the Laguna, before binning off the headlamps and fitting H4's
