Headlight removal and led ring

Headlight removal and led ring
I've been looking for a video on the headlamp housing removal but can't find one. I remember seeing one I thought. I know the bolt is behind the wheel well but a bit difficult to get to. Are the other bolts accessible from the top of the headlamps? I've purchased the LED rings to install and would like to get it done..
Also, any suggestion what to wire to if I want to have on as DRL, constant power?

My wife came home with a shattered driver's side headlight last week on our '05. I did the swap after locating a suitable replacement. It's quite easy thanks to the information I was able to find on this board:
- Jack / jackstand
- Wheel off
- Remove the various fasteners on the wheel liner.
- Stick arm forward to find torx bolt on bottom of light
- On top of light, one fastener goes through the top support bracket
- On top inside, one nut secures the side bracket
- The wiring harness is visible from the top and is connected to the back of the light.
I'll defer to others about the DRL connection. I assume you're looking for a switched, not constant, power source?

Hi there!
Sjyokel is absolutely right on removing the wheel liner. Below is a link to great youtube video, courtesy of Sam1174 who is also a member of this forum! I highly recommend to subscribe to his channel for more great repair video tutorials.
Wheel liner removal truly is the best "first time" access method. I've done Xenon conversion, and removing that bottom torx was quite a challenge. Nevertheless, the second time that I was pulling my headlights I was able to handle it through inspection door. Keep in mind that I still had to take off the wheels .
Good Luck and enjoy driving your JagX
