Headlight Washer Lens Cap
I lost one of my headlight washer lens caps. Does anyone know where I can just by this piece of the headlight assembly? I'm trying to avoid having to buy I install the entire assembly. If I can get one, I also need to know who to attach it. I see a plastic post sticking out of the hole it covers with what looks like a suction cup.
Thanks to GGG's helpful comments, I just ordered the headlight washer lens cap I need. However, I have no idea of how to attach this thing once I get it. Can someone please tell me? Looks like I need to buy me a good shop manual. Thanks.
Dwheiseyjr,
There’s good news but potential trouble (which is the bad news).
This Youtube video shows how the mechanism works.

The good news is that the mirrored cap comes as a separate part, and with a bit of fiddling may just clip into the post you see. It’s a ball and socket arrangement, but be careful as you pull the post out as the entire assembly may unclip from the base of the headlight. Getting that back in place is a real pain.
The bad news is that it’s all old plastic and the post has an end ball on it and may not now fit properly onto the new mirror’s socket. It’s old plastic so be gentle. You can’t glue it, as the assembly is suppose to allow movement, so you may need to get creative to secure it depending on what you find. In my case I used bits of silicon sticker tape to fill the socket so it fit securely.
