Default Headliner cleaning?

There have been lots of comments about alcohol for cleaning convertible top liners. Any suggestions for cleaning some smudges on a coupe headliner?

One thing short of actually putting cleaner on it, is to take a good microfibre cloth and simply rub the spots dry. If that doesn't get it all, try it with a slightly damp portion of the cloth. This will do wonders on the fabric. It will even take up road grime especially if you don't always put the cover on while driving or drive with the windows down while the top is up.

Sounds like you a talking about a convertible, my car is a coupe and has a couple of smudges on the headliner. Anyone think Resolve might work?

Any upholstery cleaner should do the trick. I think the key is to use a wet/dry vac on it after spraying and dabbing. You don't want to rub, that could smear the spots.

Actually it would work on either. I have used the micro fibers on my headliners for years now and it does a great job for surface dirt. I have had mechanics put smudges on headliner from putting a visor down and a gentle buffing with the micro fiber removes it.
