I did mine myself a few years ago. I live in a rural area and didn't have any shops nearby to take it, so I had to do it myself. I got the headliner at WLS Headliners online with the liner and adhesive for around $50. They knew the exact color for the car.

Getting the fiberglass headliner out was a little challenge, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It was mostly removing some trim like the light console, visors, and something in the back - it really wasn't too hard.

Or find a shop and pay a couple hundred - way easier, but no satisfaction

I got a quote from an local shop who could do it with similar fibergrass for $300 but the color is slightly off. So, I have decided to go with a better material for another $75 more and the color would be matched 100% to the original so, it won't look off with the visor, but it's gonna take about 3 days to get the material in, and I am looking to get in done sometimes early next week.

Did you take the passenger seat out of the car in order to get the headliner out?

Just to be a bit pedantic.....they are not fibre glass, if they were they would last longer than the car, they are 'fibre board', this is a compressed cardboard with resin/glue and delaminates in time.

The only place I know that make replacement fibreglass headliners are Myrttle Productions, the only reason I have not bothered to make a mould is you can still buy an OE for $300

No, I didn't take any of the seats out. I was able to get it out of the door - it was like moving a couch upstairs around a corner into a small door. There were lots of turns and bending and trying to get it to fit out, but it did.

The fiberboard the XKRacer is talking about wasn't really the problem. The problem is that the headliners are foam backing with a cloth cover. The foam backing is attached to the fiberboard with spray adhesive. Over time the foam disintegrates and therefore the headliner falls. Before putting a new headliner on, some of the foam is still glued onto the fiberboard and must be scraped off.
