Default Headrest Motors

Anyone know the easiest way to find the electrical connectors for the headrest motors? I would like to deactivate the motors as they run when I have to move the seat backs forward, and I have no need to adjust the headrests from where they are now. I figured the easiest way to do that would be to unplug the motors, unless someone has a better idea. Thanks!

Just to review the function. The headrests go down to allow the seatback to move further forward for rear seat entry. When the seatback is returned then the headrests go back up. Since you seem to want to disconnect them, I would say, gain access to the area inside the backrest from behind. You have to separate a long black piece that is sewn into the front and back leathers. Then pull down the stiff cardboard panel. Try sliding your hand up the back rest and feel for the headrest guides and motor assembly. There will be a connector for that motor. Disconnect it (make sure the headrest is where you want it before you disconnect it). Another idea, if you don't need them up, then set them all the way down and they won't have to move.

Take a look at Sam's video regarding the headrest repair. By far the most difficult step (at least to explain) is how to separate what is called the seatback finisher piece so that you can slide up the seat cover. Once you know how the whole process only takes a few minutes.

Thanks, guys. I agree after reading your posts that if I get to the motor, may as well fix the cables too, haha. It's true with any job, most of the work is in the prep and getting to where the job is!
