Smile Hey, Rear End Noise is Gone

Thanks for all the help guys. Motor was correct about the E-Brake being the culprit. Thanks to H20 for the procedure. Got a few minutes and adjusted it today. I was going to wait for the parts for the rear suspension to show up but got impatient.

So if any on you start hearing noise from the rear wheel wells that's sounds tingy. Time to adjust the e-brake.

Hmmm, i'm getting a "ting" sound when I hit a hefty bump. Seems to come from the driver side rear wheel. Maybe this is my issue too. Mechanics haven't been able to find it. Sounds like a metal coat hanger taping once on a metal pan.

Sounds about right george, I compare it to the sound of old spoke rims.

Not a total victory yet H20, I need to replace the drivers side e-brake shoes cause I rotated that little gear till it couldn't rotate any more but still wouldn't lock drivers side.

Passengener locked and handle actually had clicks so I call it a small victory. Noise is gone except for hefty bumps but much less pronouced.
I deal with the shoes when the noise gets loud again.

Quick question for you; on the drivers side there was no plug so adjustment was easy, just lined up the hole. Passenger side had same hole but smaller diameter was solid, no through hole, and now way to pull it out.

So I guess the question is, was yours like this?

The passenger side didn't seem to need adjustment so I didn't worry about it. But I guess to open that hole up I need to remove the Disc.

to be honest, I haven't looked yet...before I start, I want either a large floor jack or a lift to get it up in the air.

I've just got a couple of 2 ton hydraulic jacks. One on each rear jack point and it rasied it up enough. If you don't mind working floor. A lift would be very nice.
