I replaced the bulb but it's still not working. I checked the fuses 6, 8, 19, 21 and they looked OK other then a couple looked a little black on the top of the fuse but connection was still there so I replaced those ones. Still not working so do you think it could be the ballast? Also checked fuse 3 because it's related to the HID apparently but that didn't change anything.

 

It most likely is the ballast.

 

You can swap bulb and/or igniter side-to-side for a quick diagnosis without buying extra or unnecessary parts.

Just the labor involved but will confirm what part is faulty.

 

I had already ordered a new bulb and installed that but it still didn't work which is why I think it's something else. The new bulb looks OK to me and well it's new so it shouldnt' be dead on arrival. I managed to snap the lower clip on the plastic cover for the inner wheel arch which I'm not happy about so I don't really want to do the same to the other side if it's working OK already. I'm sure you understand that one
