Default High altitude adjustments

Half of the year I live at 8,500 feet elevation. (approx 2,600 meters) The other half of the year I live at sea level. I am confused as to fuel delivery adjustments that may need to be made from one spot to the other. The car is naturally aspirated but uses a mass airflow sensor and and ECM. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

As far as I know, no adjustment needs to be made to compensate for altitude. It is a built-in function of the engine management. There is an atmospheric pressure sensor wired in to the ECU, so this is taken care of automatically.

There is some detail here: jaguar_xk8_engine_management.pdf

I dont think any adjustments are required as the air mass flow is measured and the correct amount of fuel added. The HC and oxygen content are measured downstream to confirm good combustion and slight adjustments made by the system anyway so you dont need to do anything. If you were running an old car with a carb then yes you would need to rejet the carb but the XK8 is computer controlled fuel injected.

Sorry but you're stuck in the 80's!! Fuel injected cars compensate for thin/ thick air.

If you want to compensate for altitude, forced induction is required. Trade for XKR and don't worry about the atmospheric density.
Think of it as a 'low-flying-aircraft'.

Thanks all. I didn't think there was any adjustment necessary but thought I would tap your collective wisdom for peace of mind.
