Default Hood liner

Although the hood (bonnet) liner doesn't appear to be sagging it is obviously rubbing and abrading the top of the superchager! My thought was some adhesive may be the answer to reducing the liner "sag" but thought I''d check with others to get their thoughts. Also any thoughts on how to "fix" the abrasion marks on the top of the supercharger? I have seen some old posts on this but nothing too recent.

Had a similar problem prior to replacing the front upper shock mounts and front springs, the bonnet liner scuffed the intake plenum on my XK8, Afterwards, no problems. Suggest you measure the distance from front hub center to wheel arch mldg, I believe acceptable range is 16.5" to 16.75".. 16 5/8" best. Cars and owners getting older and sagging . :-)

I don't quite see how that has an impact on the liner clearance. I have seen a couple of XKR's with this problem and it would appear there is very little clearance to start with, so a slight age related sag could easily be the cause. Try pushing against the liner to see how much give it has.

I measured the distance from the center of the hub to the arch molding. It is 14.5 in. I can't believe I am 2 inches off. Does anyone have the JTIS instructions related to this?
