Default It is just a press fit, should be easy to remove

When I bought my XKR, the PPO had painted the louvers silver for some reason.
This cheesy change disproportionately reduced the car's value relative to the tiny effort required to set it right.
One of the first things I did was to pull the louvers off, clean them up as much as possible and repaint them their proper color.
I don't recall any issues removing or reinstalling them, it is just a simple press fit.

As bought...

fixed...

No idea why owners cannot see that painting the XKR hood louvers a different color completely ruins the visual lines of the front of the car....

Well done to make them right again....

I once went to get a quote for repainting my car because of the peeling clear coat on the roof. The shop owner suggested painting the hood louvers a different color. He thought it would look great. I disagreed. Even though he and his is highly regarded for the quality of their work, I was put off by that suggestion, and the price, he wanted $6,000 to fix a few door dings, repaint the car, and paint the wheels gun metal or dorchester.
