Smile Hood open lite

Got the "Hood Open Lite" warning. The hood is closed and latched on both sides. I can find no reason for the warning. With the hood open and looking at the latches it is not obvious as to what is wrong. There must be an adjustment somewhere. Can someone please help me?

Thanks guys

It is the convertible top that is not latched, not the engine cover. The engine cover is the 'bonnet' on a British car.

The convertible top was retracted. But after I wrote this thread I raised the top and the warning went away. Thanks for the info. Let's see....Hood is bonnet.... trunk is boot... conv top is hood!!!! Right??

And lite is something that is not heavy and a light is something that illuminates.

Ware is a material i.e Kitchen ware and Wear is something that is damaged or worn.

I say old chap, that's a bit harsh, lol. Important thing is that they are into the old Jags same as we are, think we can forgive a bit of mispronunciation, they can't help it after all.
