Has anyone tried the chips that boost horsepower? And if so, what would you recommend for a 2005 XKR?

thanks everyone for timely replys...

There are many options that you will hear about, but mostly not about chips.

Do some searches on the site and you will find a great deal of info regarding your question, particularly centered around Avos, who is just the guy you are looking for.

Hi Jackemail,

Here is a recent discussion on chips (as Keven said, there are a few).

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-97-xk8-85413/

The consensus is that they are a waste of money. e.g. this quote from xenophobe:

You can get a noticable boost in power on an XKR with a superchager pulley swap. If you have a tight upgrade budget, this is probably the best place to spend your money.

All most of the chips do and this refers to all makes is fool the MAF/ATS that the air is cooler than it is so it throws more fuel in, all this means is you are now running rich which will knacker your cats

Waste of money and time
