Default OBDII problem

My interface port is broken, it appears the brackets that hold it in place broke. Anybody know a way to get it out without taking off the kick panel?

It sometimes amazes me that they would put so much cheap parts in a expensive car.

If it's broken, you may be able to pull it out without removing the Knee Bolster but you won't be able to fit a replacement the same way. The standard port is a chassis mounting component:

It clips or screws in from behind and protrudes through the cutout in the fascia.
