Default How do you replace the bulbs in the radio?

I have about 5 bulbs burned out on my dash that I am going to replace with ones from my parts car. Took the parts car center cluster out today and am trying to figure out how to get to the bulbs in the radio. All but one are not working in it so I would love to get it up and working right but can't figure out how to take the case apart. Took the front plastic cover and the rear plate off but still clueless. Anybody take theirs apart. Mine is a 97 one. Would put the parts car one in but the led screen is all black on it.

I am doing the same thing. I have bulbs that need to be replaced on the console including one on the radio, i.e,. bulb that illuminates CD/AM-FM/Phone. I have a 1998 XK8 and I am also unsure where the bulbs are within the radio. I would think that once you remove the fascia plate it would be accessible, however, I have read threads which indicate with older systems the bulbs are in the radio unit itself and were soldered to the boards. I have my radio out but I am trying to take the volume knob off and I am not sure if I can just pull it out or is there a retaining pin or clip that needs to be removed or pressed. I tried pulling however I didn't want to much force and break it. How did you remove your volume knob on the radio?

Lovely, well not so lovely, sounds like a Ford thing.

Took the dash apart last night and replaced my 6 burned out bulbs (also replaced the center portion with the one from the parts car as it has heated seats. Now I just need to figure out how to get the freaking bolts of with those blasted torx ends that hold the seats down. so i can swap the seats.
