I traveled about 70 miles round trip for my XK8. I'd been casually looking for about 5 years, prior to this I was looking at XJS models, but this '99 came up with low mileage, one owner, in immaculate condition I couldn't resist. Plus the prices were coming into my range. Just did a full detail on her today, ahhhhh

I flew from Australia to the UK to buy my 2003 black XKR Coupe. Only, I don't get to import it into Oz for another 12 months (stupid customs regulations ).

I have two dealerships near me (Rosenthal and Bethesda), and they seemed to be having a little price war, so I waited and watched, and eventually Bethesda won out. Got a great deal and know it will be very well taken care of by Rosenthal.

OK, I literally walked about 25 feet to the small British car dealer next door to my work when I watched it come off the truck. It often sits parked a few feet from it's home now.

Flew to Boise and drove it back to Seattle. Now, Boise to Seattle is 505 Miles according to the road atlas, but this is an XK8. And there are these Blue Mountains and a thing called the Snake River sorta on the way with lots of winding roads, soooo . . . we added a little extra "Jag/Owner bonding" mileage to the trip.

I was just thrilled that I found the car I wanted without having to go to Florida to get it.

I found mine in Cleveland and I'm in St. Louis. Flew up and drove it back the same day. around 510 miles. Had a great time with the car. A 2004 XK8 in Grey w/black interior. Bought it on Nov 30th, 2009 with 29K miles for $18,000. Here it is in my driveway the day after.

I found My '01 XKR Silverstone in Miami while vacationing in September. It had 0nly 11,900 miles on it. I drove it straight through, 20 hours, from Miami to Chicago. Up to 14,000 miles now.

Picked mine up on a low loader (bought with a blown engine, even though it did still run) went from Norwich (UK) to Motherwell (Scotland) 1000 mile round trip done in a day.

Only problem I had the Red BUll didn't kick in until I was 40 mile from home and then couldn't get to sleep until the early hours of the morning lol

I am a new member that just drove 190 miles for 02 XKR. I plan to do paperwork and drive it home this week. I am so excited... been looking for 5 years within my budget.

Default I'm not alone!

I've been looking for an XKR, but have not seeing anything close enough to me to justify looking at and I was thinking I may have to settle for an XK8. However, after reading these posts, the paultry 3 weeks I've been looking makes me feel like I'm beeing terribly impatient.

Maybe a higher power is trying to tell me to wait until after winter to make my purchase.

Default 750 miles for EBAY XKR

Bought a 2004 XKR on Ebay. Took two flights from MD to SC, and drove back the 750 miles. Passed signs to all 3 airports on the way back since they were right off the roads I was driving. All done the same day (left early morning and returned around 10:30PM). This included stopping by the SC DMV for the 30-day out-of-state transfer tags.

I flew from Dallas, TX to Naples, FL (about 1500 miles) for my 2002 XKR. It only had 34k miles on it, was in great shape, and I got a great price. Found it on eBay.
