Do you mean the weatherstripping? The rubber blobs between the windows and the top?

If so, its really easy, and per the workshop manual:
1 - Remove screws if necessary (only on the first of the 3 strip segments)
2 - Pull off strips (they literally just pull off with a pinch)
3 - Clean the now exposed retainer
4 - wipe some KY Jelly on retainer (Manual says it by name)
5 - Reapply weather strip (KY makes it easy to slide)
6 - Reinsert screws (again, only segment 1)

Thank you, however Im not certain we are talking the same part...this is the rubber seal on the outside of the rear window, there are no visible screws....now if this is the same part we are talking about then I thank you.

however i did purchase it through Jagbits, their number is GJA9022AC and it's called a "backlight glass seal in convertible top". Thanks for your efforts!

Ok, that is the seal for the convertible top rear window. I was talking about side windows.

Download the workshop manual from the stickies.

Workshop manual has nothing in it on this seal, just how to do the rear window, install or remove, that's all...it's like the seal is non existant....and nobody has any shared experience with this issue either?

Just a final update. I sourced the part from Jagbits right here, after much searching this was a hard part to obtain...the simple rubber seal on the outter rear window of the convertible. I tried to install it...it's impossible for a home gamer such as myself....no matter how much ky jelly you use!

I have an appointent with a top shop in town to do it, a one day deal...

cost $about $100 shipped for the seal and another $245 for the install.

These are northercalif costs, yours maybe cheaper. A glass shop cannot do this.

On the plus side, you can find more fun uses for the KY
