How Many Miles Do You Put On Your XK8 / XKR Per Year ?
I'm pretty much the same. It just depends on how bad of a winter we get and how often I'm able to car pool to work.
I've had my 2002 XKR for almost a year and have put on 12k miles but that includes the 1500 mile drive home from where I bought it and a 4k trip around the US shortly after I bought it, both of which will not be yearly events. So, I'd have to say between 5k and 7k should be normal for me. That said, I love driving my XKR and drive it as much as I can. Jaguars like to be driven and engines, transmissions and even drive trains can be replaced. I'm 53 years old and while I plan on hanging around for many years and have a second car as well, it is my hope that I will always be driving my XKR.

At her current rate after not quite six months of XK8 ownership, my wife will do between 20,000 and 22,000 miles per year. It is the only vehicle out of the four that we own that she ever wants to drive....
The two cross-country trips added about 10k miles
27 months of ownership, 44,000 miles of driving, that I otherwise would have done in that hunk of crap aka 2008 Buick Enclave. Top down everyday in Southern California except for the 4 or 5 days per year that it rains in the San Fernando Valley. So, I put about 20K/year, and enjoy each and every one of them.
Being a member of the retired population I drive my XKR just for pleasure and that would be about 5000-6000 miles per year. I have owned the car for 4 years and 9 months and it has been a joy to drive and admire.
It's only been a month since I purchased her. Based on past driving history and the fact she is my primary car, my estimate is 10,000 - 15,000 per year. She is a joy to drive and I put the top down every chance available.
My wife's 2006 XK8 (owned since early February 2012) has not been her daily driver since late October 2018 and is now just a toy. For the last couple of years it has done between 1,200 and 1,500 miles per year....
Retired, so no commuting miles.
I make up for that with 1-2 day trips weekly and a couple of cross-country trips yearly.
After nearly 4 years of ownership I’m averaging 17,000 miles yearly. Hope to bump that up significantly this year.
