I bet a lot less are still on the road no matter what the number is. Still the first generation xk's seem to be forgotten by most so it may not get much collectors value in 20 years, just look at the prices for used ones now, not much.

But got curious of who many X308 sports were made. Found the following but not sure of validity? But 1108 made worldwide seems low.I know why they were not popular but this what appeals to me.But if some-one has a SWB VDP Look after it!!

Hi, I own a 2005 XKR convertible, so by looking at the stats am I right in learning just 985 of those produced that year? How many made it to the USA?

thanks
Joe

Gus,

Thanks for the link...this table seems to show fewer 2005 production totals and about 150 less XKR converts in 2005, than the other tables in this post earlier on? Why the production total and converts differences for 2005? Is one table a global figure and one for US totals? thanks

I will bet that a lot of xkr`s ended up around trees or lamp posts or went rotten thanks to uk weather..scraped because of engine or gear box probs not worth repairing.wonder how many left?

Dennis,

Even in our secret UK society, since 1994 the DVLA have been required to publish figures by make and model for vehicles taxed or SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification).

You can browse the figures OnLine:

How Many Left?

For XKR figures, you'll need to keep in mind the model change in 2006 as DVLA don't distinguish between the XK8 and XK variants.
