Default How to replace small headlight bulb

Hello my learned friends.

2001 Jaguar XKR convertible. Trying to replace burnt out bulbs. Unable to remove small headlight bulb (see photo, bulb circled in black).

Looked through workshop manual without success. After opening hood (bonnet) and removing protective glass cover, was not able to twist, pull or otherwise remove little bulb. Opposite side works. All help is appreciated.

Very respectfully, Bob G in Florida

You just have to twist it a quarter of a turn. Be more brutal. Mine were very hard to twist after being untouched for god knows how long but it will come out.

PS The bulb is a side or marker light bulb.

Thank you for the information rothwell. I was able to find the 12V, 55W, bulb in home depot for $1.00 each. These are not searchlights like yours, but serve my purpose. Very respectfully, Bob G in Florida (30 miles south of Tampa).
