Default How to sell an XK8 (excellent eBay/Youtube ad)

I came across this ad on UK ebay for a 1998 XK8 convertible. Nothing too special until you click on the seller's YouTube video link: .
Wow, that's a really professional and honest video of the car.

Objectively, the car is a bit ropey and I wouldn't normally touch it with a barge pole, but the video is so well done that I almost found myself wanting to bid.

I have bookmarked the video and will try to do something similar when the time comes to sell my car.

Great video.
Seems like an honest seller, you would have a good idea what you were getting into with this one.

Hey, I know that guy! He contacted me through youtube to ask some questions. He made an excellent video on how to remove the front seats. I suggested that he should post it here.

By the way... I'm about to sell my car. I'll have to make a similar video. I'm sure mine won't be as professional as his, though. He told me that videography is his business.

Help! NO! NO!

What will we do without Rev Sam and his XK8, to make us videos of how to do things?

Question 98 with a 4.2?

Did you catch the credits at the end? 1998 w/ a 4.2.
Were 4.2 engines available in the UK in '98?

No, only the 4.0 as elsewhere. 4.2 from 2003 on.
Must just be a slip in the typing.

Q&A at bottom of Ebay listing
Q: Great video. I guess it is an 4.0 engine, not a 4.2 Ralf
A: Hi Ralf - yes the capacity is 3996 c.c.

Default Recently recovered drivers seat....real recent !!

Check out the video at 3:25 (min:sec). You will see the big booger that got covered up. Very nice video however. Sam, when you make your video, give this fine chap a script to read on your vehicle and copy that audio into your video. A distinguished British accent adds an air of legitimacy to the whole transaction.
Cheers

Very honest video..except I noticed the enterior changed. Initially the steering wheel is two toned (airbag cover darker than rim leather) and shows drivers seat cushion redone. One the cold start up (as well as other places in the video) it is original with ripped cushion and monotone steering wheel.
