Hydraulic Leak
Need some help sleuthing a problem. Got into my car and shifted to drive and as I did a drop of a clear oily substance fell onto my wrist. It originated from the area on the header/top of the windshield where the lights and Homelink system are located. My XKR is a convertible and this is near the "hook" that latches the top to the windshield. So I immediately thought that this must be hydraulic fluid from the power top and that the latch is hydraulically activated even though I have heard mention of "switches". There must be a leak up there? Any advice?
Search the threads for "green shower" and you will find a lot of info.
My write up on the repair is here.
Hopefully it is not as bad as poor Yohan below. Don't use the top any more until you fix it.

This should help you understand what is taking place.

It happened to mine when it was only 2 years old. The dealership response was, "So you got the famous green shower!" Apparently, they expected it to happen sooner or later (though usually a little later than mine) to all the soft tops. Fortunately, I was still under warranty.
