I was sitting on my engine putting something back together and looking forward to a drive. I bumped my bleeder hose and the plastic shattered like glass There goes another week. Boo hissss......

You could run a length of fuel hose as a temporary fix.

 

Right? I could find a way to bypass it but it's not really worth it. I don't need the car. Which is just part of having a car where you can't get local parts.

 

You are lucky it took physical contact. It is usually enough to look at it funny.

I ended up actually getting a proper replacement part for this. Eventually. I initially replaced it with what seemed like a proper hose, but ended up turning hard and brittle instead in just a few months. These cooling system failure can easily get you stranded, so the proper part was procured.
