Not sure if you guys remember: I have a xk8 4.2 convertible. I had a huge rust problem at the left side of the car because water ran inside.
Now as the whole bottom plate is fixed (exchanged). i wanted to figure out the problem.
It was easy to find with a water hose as the water ran in the car.

The problem: Left snd right quarter windows had different issues related to very bad mechanic work in the past.
On the left side they took out the window motor for some reason and as they built it back in the crunched the water waiste „lip“ upwards so the water took the easy way in.
I found the part (water duct) i need to replace:
HJA8136BA
HJA8137BA

The problem i have now remaining:
On the right side the motor (the whole mechanism) is covered with a special formed plastic cover/foil.
I cant find that part or partnumber in any catalog.

Please guys, can someone help me? I need this partnumber so bad. A normal plastic foil wont work at all.

 

You might try calling Coventry West in Lithonia Georgia. They may know what it is and they may have it. They aqve both new and used parts

i found the oart numbers but damn, they are not available anywhere…
that xk8 makes me crazy because jaguar forgot that car totally…
