Water
Hello from Houston everyone,
I need advice, yet again. My girl is parked in my garage, due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey, she took on water. I plan to have her towed directly to the mechanic once the water recedes. Any advice beyond that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

So sorry to see and hear this.
With all the electronic gadgetry in the lower half of the car, all the modules will be shot to hell. Not to mention the interior trimmings.
Seats, carpet, door cards, anything that could soak up water will have done so. Plus with the water level where it is on the car, it will have backed up into the exhaust pipes and when the water level does recede, there will still be water in the exhausts.
Prepare for the worst news I'm afraid.
Hopefully your insurance won't cry natural disaster and fail to pay out.
Maybe you have Hurricane insurance? I'm sure I've heard of that over there.
I'm also hoping that that's the only damage you've suffered.

Sorry you are taking on water. I am in Houston as well and what we are seeing is beyond anything we could have ever imagined. Hopefully we are done with the worst part of this catastrophe by tomorrow.
Take your car car to the Independent in the Galleria- he has experience with Jaguars going thru high water.
problem is that he might be flooded out himself at this point.
Hope you and yours are safe

sarahsmi, the best advice that I can tell you is to look inside the car and see where the water made it to inside. If you are lucky, the car is water tight and the water damage inside the car will be minimal. If the water level inside and outside the car are the same, like others have said, it may not be worth trying to recover as the cost of getting new modules may likely exceed what the value of the car is. see what the insurance company will say and go from there.
Granted, if you can get the insurance company to total the car out and let you keep the car (which they may do based on the number of totaled vehicles that will be in the area), you can take the money that you get, and get the car back on the road and after say 5 or so years when the problems start creeping in, you can scrap the car at that point and then look at a new kitty.
The motor should be fine except for maybe a few sensors that will need replaced. Granted, may need to get the alternator replaced. All depends on the kind of water that the car is sitting in (salt water will be an almost given, if it is all fresh water, you may get lucky). As for water in the exhaust, push the car out of the garage and then jack the front end of the car up in the air as high as you can to allow the water to drain out. Do this before you attempt to start the car. What will be left should be little enough that the exhaust will push it out.

Look at the level of the water I think the engine is safe,it might not high enough to get the alternator, there are no modules in that low level but some sensors and electrical wires are and exhaust pipes will be full of water but it's the minor just do like Thermo said, but the whole interior floor will be like swimming pool, doesn't matter how tight the seals are, it sat in water that deep it going to sipped in any way. Put it on the stand and remove every things from the water line down and clean them good, remove the carpets shampoo them, take your time and you can make her nice and good again.

I am not sure what is the best thing to use to ensure things are " clean".
There should be advice on the web

Thank you for you responses. The final water level was a bit higher than the first picture.
When I lifted the hood there was water pooled inside and the electronics near the pedals were submerged for 3 days (salt water). At this point, I have taken the payout and she was picked up on Tuesday.
