I have updated my sound system with a JVC single din touch screen system and finally designed a perfect screen saver disk. I wanted it to look totally intergrated so with my brothers help, we've made a perfect disk with several jaguar screen options.
Smoggy and I have the same systems so he gets it next!! Let me know if you have a compatible system!!

Yeah, my installer had an adaptor for th steering controls. Works just like my factory. Ad I have iPod and aux in the center console as well. Although it does sinc to Bluetooth phone and music, I use the iPod plug as I think quality is better.

I'll ask my brother if he can make this work for these other units. He's a computer tech and always figures out how!!
I've actually got several images I can use, not just this one. And in both the phosphorus blue but the green as well. My other favorite is a carbon fiber background logo but its not color. He's tweaking it for me tomorrow and making color.

I also have the ADV49 and would love to have a leaper background. If your brother can figure it out, I'd be more than willing to pay reasonable compensation..

Hi Phil did you have standard sound or premium before the upgrade? I have premium and was wondering if this JVC unit could be fitted to my " Bettsie "? Tried looking for the JVC avx77 but that unit appears to be out of production now at least over here.
I am pretty impressed with the sound system as it is and only wish to upgrade to have the newer benefits I.C.E brings, any advice?
Kind regards,
ArtyH

I found mine on ebay USA. They were all over ebay then, haven't checked but I did put in my jeep too. I think they were about 185.00.

Mine sounds good but my installer added an amp to the rear speakers but not to the front. I'm not sure i have the best quality I could have but it's not bad. I really wanted to keep the factory sound but its not really possible when changing head unit. It does sound best when I plug in directly. Bluetooth not as good quality. But phone is great!!

Hi Phil, was really wanting to know if your car had standard or premium sound, that would let me know if the change would be possible/worth while.

Cheers,
ArtyH

Honestly, I don't know! It had the alpine with multi disk cd changer. I'll check as I think my original purchase window sticker is in the manual.

Hey Arty, I installed a JVC ADV49, the predecessor to the AVX77 in my 2002 XKR, which had a premium Alpine system w/ CD changer in the trunk. I changed everything, head unit, pre-amp, speakers and am very happy with the results. If you have an XKR, I believe they all came with a premium sound system.

Sounds like it was not the premium as you would have had an amp in the boot together with your CD changer, the amp would have been on top. Not sure about U.S specs but mine has Harmon Kardon speakers which I believe were fitted to the non standard sound system which would be another indicator. Just wondering as the connections would most likely differ to accommodate the amp.
Bet it sounds awesome, enjoy it mate.
