Sorry if I'm not supposed to ask this here, but does anyone know a good independent service man in the Las Vegas area l have a friend there who is having issues with his 2000xk8 and he may need one.

No reason why you shouldn't ask here BUT you could get a wider response by posting the question in the US Western Region forum.

Technical questions are best posted in the Model forums; geographically specific questions in the Region forums.
