Hey xkracer, that project you described (retro e-type -> XK) conversion...(gonna call it the XKe?) sounds like alot of work, and going retro is either a huge it, or its bust. I'm sure you could make it tastefully done so the former hit would be the result. As ford did with the new mustang, taking just a few features that made the older stang iconic, and merging it perfectly with modern chassis size and lines, proportions being the key. Have you any sketch concepts of what you envision? You're always thinking for new and unique services and products (and conversion options) to add to your business (even before a customer knows he would want them), thats a trademark the largest and profitable companies have in common. enuff said there
Debbie, I went back to your original engine thread, but didn't see where you actually mentioned what engine you selected...what year did you find?

If you had/have collision insurance you might want to ask if it will continue to be effective. Nothing like having an accident and later finding out that it won't be covered since the car was already written off once. In that event they would just say "Sorry" and refund the money paid for that portion of the premium. If that is important to you call another insurance company (not just a different agent of the same company) and ask if they would write collision on a vehicle that had been previously written off. Better to know beforehand...Originally Posted by BriteRed01XKR
Insurance continues as it was on my car.
