Installing lowering springs...sanity check
So one thing I really feel needs to be done to the car is it needs to be lowered. The wheel gap, especially in the back, just bothers me. I have been researching lowering options and figured I would go ahead and do it. I've installed springs, coilovers, etc on other cars, without much hassle.
I am now in a situation where I dont really have the space to do it myself so I went ahead and asked a local shop what it would run to install a set of springs...just labor. I was told that on this car, its a huge job to do the rears...like 10 hours. Which of course would be like $1,500 in labor. Am I missing something here? Is this normal?

No way 10 hours unless the shop is incompetent.
Rears could be done in less than 3 hours with a lift and air tools.
It took me about 5 hours using jacks, Jack stands, hand tools and having never done it before.
On a rust free car, rears only should be less than $250 Labor or you are paying a premium for a lack of skill.
