I want to install a XM Radio in my 2006 XKR with the Alpine Audio System. Has anyone done this and how was it done? I got a quote from the dealer for the Audio Connectivity Module and it was over $360.00. There has to be a less costly way to do this???

 

Not really, unless you want an FM Modulated unit. The ACM is a pretty neat accessory for these cars. The way the deck talks to the navigation system, the amplifier, the CD changer...you can't mess with one without screwing the whole system outa wack...others have tried. Unless someone has a new an innovative way to get around this (which I always pay attention if they do), get the ACM. Hey, at least you could use your IPOD or other mp3 player if your anti-mac like me.
