Iridium spark plugs
Hello again guys, a few months ago I was told that the:
NGK Spark Plugs Iridium IX BKR5EIX-11 5464 were correct for the 1999 AJ27 XK8, now I have been told:
NGK 2761 / PFR5G-13E Spark Plug Laser Platinum1x NGK 2761 / PFR5G-13E is the plug to use.
Question is which one, or do both fit, if that is the case which is the better plug for my car?
Many thanks again for anyone who has the time to answer.
Kind regards,
ArtyH

I have not had the chance to get a look at my plugs yet as the car was put into storage a few days after buying it, so I do not know what it has installed. I am assuming as it " stood " for almost 4 years ( covering 371 miles in that time ) that I should put new plugs in as a matter of course, question is which ones? Two different suppliers quote different ones for the early AJ27 motor ie 1999 MY.
Cheers,

This might help you. I found this on Rock Auto's website under the NGK 2761, but they sell all of these for your MY. The plugs are just different grades. If it helps, the Iridium IX was what came from the factory on my xk8.

Hi H2OBoy thanks for the info, great video. I should have known they would be original equipment as my 1999 S type also had them as standard. Just wanted to make sure I was getting the right ones, the laser look the best bet to me.
