Default An irritation with Torque Pro

Other forum members use Torque Pro as I do on my Android phone and they get references to Bank 1 and Bank 2, I never get this. I get sensor 1-8 but never seem to get Bank 1 & 2 which would be handy.

Have I made some basic boo-boo in my setup here?

Mike

Might it be something to do with the model year of car? Jag changed the cylinder numbering system during the X100 production (around 2003) with bank 1 & 2 or A & B being changed to straight up number 1 to 8. Maybe that is communicated to torque pro differently.

Thank you. That no doubt will be it.

Any idea how to refer to the O2 sensors on 'Bank1' and 'Bank 2' in that case?

That's odd - on my 2001 XKR Torque Pro on Android has the Oxygen sensors labelled as O2B1S1 and O2B2S1 etc - these are standard PIDs so there shouldn't be any label confusion. Did you tell Torque what the vehicle is? If so, maybe try again and don't give it any vehicle information.

You can also edit the PIDs on Torque and see what the actual PID number its referencing is and manually change the display name. I'll find the link to the spreadsheet that shows all of this.

This thread has the link to the spreadsheet:-

Thank you both.

I shall have a rummage and look for the O2B1S1 etc.

I'm also thinking I may try Car Scanner ELM OBD as it has far better reviews now. I suppose I could just reinstall Torque and see if that changes anything but I can't see that it would.
