Default issue installing shocks.

Hello

Having an issue installing the front shocks at the top on a 2000 XKR. The connectors to the top do not line up. Is this an issue because the shocks came off of a convertible and I have a coupe. I thought CATS shocks from 2000-03 where the same. At least they are advertised the same, only difference is front and rear and CATS

You have the bottom bolted in don't you?
Unbolt the bottom and align the top and bolt in, then using a breaker bar or equivalent slide it in the bolt hole and turn till it lines up with the shock bracket.

Be careful not to break the lower shock bushing.

If only it were that simple. Tried it as many ways as possible. Won't work. Returning these shocks, they must be from a 2003 XKR with R-option with Brembo brakes model. Otherwise they should fit. Had to get new ones that fit like a charm.
