Women love love love their SUVs. I don't know a single one who drives a 'car' anymore.

If you go XJ, go in with your eyes open re: air suspension.

They're great cars, and the issues aren't catastrophically expensive, just a nuisance.

it would appear the new prospective owner is here on the boards.

I think he is buying kate tomorrow.....I have spoken with him several times already....

You all treat him nice. he is real excited about getting a great car.

Cerebus 66,

I'm sorry to hear that Kate is gone.

I too, have been looking into the possible purchase of an '04 to '07 XJR or VDP as a daily driver. (No, I'm not selling my XKR!) They say that information is power! I just bought Nigel Thorley's "Essential Buyer's Guide for Jaguar XJ6, XJ8 & XJR 2003-2009" from Amazon.com. There's lots of good information in the book about the cars and tips in the book on making the best purchase choice. I've been trolling the XJ8 section of the forum for info, as well!

Good luck on your search for you XJR!

Cheers!

Jon

P.S Nigel Thorley also wrote "The Essential Buyers Guide for the XK8 & XKR 1996 - 2005". I have that book, too. A very good read if your looking for one of our cars!

Sorry to see that, Cerberus, but I do understand. My wife drives a Yukon XL and loves it. She is thinking of forgoing the XL next time, though.<br />

All the best with your XJR.
