quick question, I have an early (96) xk8 with cream leather, how similar is this to the later ivory leather that I understand effectively replaced it...

I ask as I am missing a seat belt webbing retainer clip drivers side. this has been annoying me since i bought the car, as there is just a big hole in the 1/4 panel where it should be. Cream is no longer available, but ivory is easily gettable.. would it be a good substitute or are they significantly different colours?

also if anyone else has an early car, what colour is your glove box handle? mine is contrasting oatmeal and I have a sneaking suspicion this should in fact be matching cream...

Ivory (NED) and Cream (NDR) are noticeably different shades. Always difficult to reproduce colours on screen but the Furniture Clinic Jaguar list will give you a comparison:

You could always replace both side ......?

how would i paint it... is 'NDR' paint available from somewhere?

Better to have a hole or a mismatched trim piece would you think?

Check ebay, there are many suppliers of paint and dyes who color match with great precision the interior colors of Jags and others, the first to come to my mind is Leatherique, either in liquid and aerosol, for leather and plastics.
