Jag Issues and Dealers

You know, I knew going in that an earlier model XKR (2000MY) would most likely be a bit of a maintence *****, and I honestly don't really mind that fact. I LOVE the car.
But, seriously, the dealers in South-East Michigan may feel free to Kiss My A**. I Hate EVERY single service rep at both local dealerships. Useless! Unpleasant! Ill-Knowledged! Non-Communicative!
Rant Over.

I had a great experience at Galpin in Los Angeles, they are the closest to me. Yes, most things are expensive at the dealer, but I felt they treated me more than fair with a Key issue I had.

Yeah.. I know..
I'm one of those people who doesn't mind paying for quality - which, in life, in general, is the way it works. These dealerships though, not only do they charge significantly more than any independant, they don't provide the service level you would expect at the price point. Most of the people working at the two dealerships I've dealt with would be fired from a McDonalds because of their poor customer service skills - yet here they are, making a good living at a prestigius brand dealership.
Seriously, with the experience i'm in the middle of right now - I will never buy another jaguar. I LOVE my car, LOVE it. It's such a pleasure to drive and it's the only car I can honestly say I've ever been truly passionate about - yet, I will never own another. Why? Because of the car? No. Becuse of the higher than average ownership cost? No. Because of the support provided by the dealers? Yep.
Arghhhhh..

I just defended independents in another post and will defend the dealers now. You can't throw a blanket "they all suck" over this. Service is what it is a each location. Sorry you had a bad time. It can happen at independents, too.
Ken, sometimes it'sjust the individual when they hear it's going to cost you $1000.00 inlabor $500.00 in parts and sticker shock sets in they are so pissed that no matter what the service guy says they feel that the service they received is bad
