Brought my '98 coupe (39K miles) into Jaguar of Houston (independent shop) and let Neil take care of fixing up the suspension which was getting a bit rough. The LF tire would rub on the wheel well and any type of pothole would create a BANG with a hefty jolt. Neil diagnosed it as most likely being upper shock bushings and he was right. While he was checking things out and replacing those he also found that one of the motor mounts had collapsed and the transmission mounts were shot.
So we replaced all the motor and transmission mounts as well as upgrading the thermostat housing from plastic to aluminum and replaced any hoses that were getting soft. Changed the oil, filter, coolant, etc. too.
WOW, what a difference! The car rides like brand new now and was worth every penny in repairs.
