I do hope that they do a FHC ala C-X16 in addition to this DHC - so much sexier than a drop top.

I hope the trunk can fit two sets of clubs. If not, I pass.

I can easily see myself in one of these, depending of course on the final design and specs.

I wonder if it really sounds that good. I'm guessing they'll soften the sound, unfortunately.

That's a good looking car, especially from the rear.

Looks like they decided to get rid of the "rear seat", but from the side, it looks a lot like the small BMW and some of the other small two seaters with a sort of bob tailed look.

I know that our rear seats are essentially a package holding area, and not real rear seats, but I like that little bit of extra length that gives it a bit of sleekness from the side.

I am thinking that this car, if produced as we see in these photos, would be more a legitimate sports car, rather than a GT.

The F-Type will be Jaguar 2 seater and these are the actual pics. Jaguar will still produce XK & XKR which will soon be updated.

OK, thanks, I was not really keeping up with the latest models being offered.

So, I guess that this is, in fact, Jaguar's version of a true sports car.

As I am sure you know better than I, I don't recall Jaguar offering a true sports car since the original XKE, and, please correct me if I am wrong because I don't pretend to know every single model of every Jaguar ever produced.

Clearly, this is a good move for Jaguar to reach into a space that they have not gone after in quite some time.

I guess I will be the lone dissenter on this one.

To me it looks like a cross between a Granturismo and, God help me for saying this, an S2000 Honda. The front is bland, not unlike the latest XKs and the rear looks pinched.

No doubt it is a good market for Jaguar to get into and is a sound business decision, but it just doesn't do it for me. I'll stick with the X100 for now.

Charlie, you're not alone, I share your feelings. Yes, it looks like a cross between the Honda S2000 and a BMW Z3. Not my cup of tea.

I'm looking forward to seeing this at the Paris Motor Show next week. I prefer the coupé version.

Prices €75-100K for the 495hp V8-S

+1

Yup, another 'very handsome and efficient vehicle', but not beautiful - no graceful flowing lines - its all angles and slashes enforced by aerodynamic CAD programs.

You can see where they have tried to keep the new Aston/XK look, but IMO it could just as easily have 4 circles on the front.
