Default Jaguar questions

Hi, I'm new to this forum and have a few Jag questions. 1-Do the new F type jags come with burl wood dashboards? All I see is plastic and carbon fiber. 2- Do any of the newer XK models come with a V6 engine or is that exclusive to the F type.
I will be shopping for a good low mileage used Jag in the near future and am just doing some homework, learning about the newer jags. My nearest dealers are 100's of miles away and I am sure wouldn't be helpful until I am ready to buy. Thank you.

Greetings to you. The 96 and up XKs do not come in a 6 cylinder version. As for the F Type I believe that wood was not an option although there are painting techniques to make the material appears so.

I sure do miss the burl wood. I read somewhere that they decided to stop using it because it didn't look hi tech. IOW the wood looks too old fashioned.
I haven't looked very carefully at new jag options, but last time I was in a dealer show room, there was no wood to be seen, except maybe a bit on a door.

did not see any wood veneer offered in the XE's - either Piano Black or aluminum trim - went with piano black on my XE. The XJ and XF offer wood veneer, F-Type offers aluminum finishes.
