My fuel gauge is in the red. How much fuel do I have left? Thank you!
I don't know, but you may consider visiting a gas station soon.
There is a whole section somewhere for your car, all you have to do is find it (I don't believe that the x100 ever came in a Vanden plas variant. If it did, boy am I going to look silly.)

Welcome to the forum adagio2,
This is the XK8/XKR forum for the two door cars. If your car is a Vanden Plas, you have a four door XJ8.
No one can tell for certain exactly how much fuel is in your tank but the TRIP COMPUTER will tell you how far you can travel before you have to get out and push:

Is that what the trip computer does? I click on it to cover up the LOW COOLANT warning light (as my sensor has been removed) which I find terribly annoying.
Ok. Now I’m intrigued. If you set your readout to km, (can one set the readout to km?), will it click over to 0 at 16090? I have to confess that I had assumed that the rollover would be at 9999.9 of whatever unit that was being displayed.

He probably has the enhanced coolant monitoring system fitted which does away with the need for the notoriously unreliable level and temperature sensors.

Hahaha
Had me confused when i read that in the email because I thought the Real Gauge kept those sensors in place.
That smiley face is over the oil pressure gauge in my car. If it's not smiling, I'm not smiling. As to why my car always says low coolant, someone put a plug (or maybe it's just a bolt) where the low coolant sensor goes in the tank. Perhaps I can short the coolant level sensor plug? Haven't tried yet...It's easy but down on my list of things to do...Car runs at a happy temperature (after a lot of flushing, incantations and ouiji board discussions with William Lyons) according to my OBDII dashboard.
The "enhanced coolant monitoring system" smiley faces gave me a chuckle.
I know I joke a bit on the forum. Don't know if I'm funny, but sometimes if I don't laugh about the goofy things I've had to do to fix my car, I'd cry.

Well, you can also press the clear button twice. It's at the right of the fuel gauge.
