Jaguar XK8 1997 all instruments went to zero then stabilization error etc.
Hello Everybody,
First of all this is the most helpful forum I saw in my life and where I can feel people love their cars as I do
Here my kind of weird problem.
My car just got fixed and also I changed the
Patrol relay (thank u for the nice location plan btw) and the car drives like a hero!! But... After a indefinite time all instruments going down to zero, the car does like a hick up and then I get:
Transmission fault, stabilization error, and 3rd one I forgot.
So my guess is the there is a loose contact or defect relay which maybe gets hot and does the effect...
But which one? I tried the ECM and thought I solved it but it happened again
while a longer drive... Btw I assumed the ECM relay is the one in the fuse box
in front of the ECM on the drivers side.
BTW. Hot is a problem here as I live in Dubai and it's 42 degrees...
A smaller issue that I have that the engine is quite wobbly when the transmission is in Parking position.
As I think here are much better XK8 experts I hope I can find an good answer here!
Thank you very much!
Rodrigo
