I have a problem with the drivers door window. when I open the door the window drops as it should but when I release the door handle it raises back up. this means the door will not close,

 

Have you tried resetting the windows?

Lower window and continue to hold button until you hear a slight click. Release button and then raise window, while holding the button, until you hear that click. Do this on both sides.Then see if that fixes your problem.

Mine occasionally forget and need to be reset. I think my battery is due for replacement.
