Jaguar Xk8 Manual Swap Project
Hello community,
While the manual conversion of the Jaguar XK8 (X100) has been successfully achieved by a few dedicated forum members in the past, the specific technical requirements often remain a mystery. Our goal with project "X100 Modurol" is to build on that foundation while openly sharing every step, schematic, and hurdle with the community.
We believe in working and learning together. By documenting the process in detail, we hope to demystify the integration of a 6-speed ZF S6-53 gearbox and provide a clear roadmap for others.
The heart of this project is a custom Manual Control Module (MCM) designed by Glenn Nelson. While the internal "magic" and proprietary logic of the MCM remain a closely guarded secret, Glenn is dedicated to offering these solutions to fellow enthusiasts looking to modernise their X100 driving experience. Our role is to calibrate and document how this module interfaces with the original Jaguar CANbus architecture—covering everything from gear position sensor voltage windows to resolving signal discrepancies on the bench.
