Jaguar XK8 / XJ Door handles and seal replacement
Thanks for the video. Very helpful.
A few point to note after having done this. If you take off the driver's side door it has a lock in it as well. This means it is a little harder to get the door rear side bolt off. The lock gets in the way of a socket wrench. Also there is one more rod to remove. It basically takes a little more fiddling. Also if you get a new seal that goes under the latch spring your will have to cut it to get it back on. The latch is mounted with a rivet. So unless you want to handle that task you will need to cut the bit that connects under the latch spring. Lastly when screwing back the bolts don't turn too hard as it will strip the plastic handle mount.

The top rear bolt is a pig to remove and even worse to re fit .. I screwed in a longer bolt with a nut on it ..easier to handle and then when it was home tightened the nut along the thread.
