JCNA North Carolina event was amazing!!
I went to the JCNA event in Little Switzerland NC mountains this weekend and it was great! There were some really stunning cars there and the location was beautiful! I was surprised to see an early SS saloon there an it was actually obvious to see the DNA in all of our jaguars that followed!
I noticed that besides the XKE's, there were more XK8/R's in the event. There was one new XJL and one XF, one S type and actually two X type estates! Very random! A few XK 140's and 120's and assorted older Xj's and three XJS.
The classic cars were popular but the most popular group seemed to be the "daily driver division" cars. These were the cars that had to have at least 45 points deducted for condition or modifications! That would be MY area!!
I was lucky enough to park right beside that show area and every time I went back to my XK8, there were more people walking around it and taking photos than the ones in the competition. And to my suprise, I had a ton of compliments on my black leaper I put on my car!! I was amazed how many people asked what edition my car was!?!?!?! They thought it was a special order due to the arden kit and recessed grille with the growler. I'll def be entering BOTH my XF and my XK8 next year!!
I tried to find the owners of the four XK8/R's to wish well and see if they were forum members since a couple looked familiar. But there were so many people it was impossible. A deluge of rain sent everyone scurrying to the Inn and restaurant and after it cleared, the mojo was gone! BTW, the food was stellar!!
I had a lobster blt with avacodo. Must have been a HUGE lobster. 12.95.
I'll post a few more pics but my darn phone went dead trying to find service so I didn't get many!! Ugh.
Oh, if anyone was there showing, be sure to post results!!
And, I was also surprised just how many owners I spoke to weren't members of the forum. And I confirmed I'm in the younger owner bracket of the jaguar world. Almost every member I met said they were glad to see a new younger member (me). And I'm 48!!

Did you take all your pics when you were lying down?
(I think that's a problem with pics from iPhones)
