2006 XK8 Victory - Between certain gears it almost sounds as if the car is revving between gears although the tach doesn't appear to be moving higher. The sound is almost as if you were driving a manual trans and didn't get your foot off the gas fast enough before pushing in the clutch. Otherwise, shifts and drives fine.

Any thoughts? thanks all.

 

Start by making sure (that's 100% sure) the battery is not tired/failing - you'll kick yourself if you spend big $$$ and that's all it was.

Next check codes, then pending codes, then fuel trims. Engine problems upset the trans.

Finally check/change trans fluid (& related parts).

Thanks. Had the battery checked if it was fine. Then did a hard reset and all is now good. Must have been some codes in there as you suggested. Thanks!
